Motor appoints Bryan Birsic as new Chief Executive Officer
Arlington, VA (2 November, 2023) -Motor, which partners with utilities to accelerate consumer adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), announced today the appointment of Bryan Birsic as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Birsic joins Motor from an extensive career spanning the clean energy and finance sectors. Most recently Birsic served as Co-founder and CEO of Wunder Capital, the nation’s leading solar energy provider for commercial and industrial real estate. During his time at Wunder, Birsic raised the first two funds in U.S history exceeding 100 million dollars dedicated to distributed commercial and industrial solar, achieving market leadership and forever redefining America’s energy landscape.
“I’m honored to lead Motor as we embark on this chapter in our mission to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles,” said Birsic. “I’m driven by a conviction that we can make a profound impact on one of humanity’s most pressing challenges—sustainable transportation. My return to the climate fight is fueled by a strong belief in Motor’s ability to drive change. At Motor, we’re not just chasing innovation; we’re pioneering it, and I’m excited to be leading this next phase of the company.”
“We’re thrilled to have Bryan join the Motor team as CEO. He is a true innovator with an impressive track record in leading successful climate start-ups and raising significant capital. Bryan is the perfect fit to lead us through our next phase,” said Kris Bahlke, Chief Operating Officer of Motor.
This transition comes as the company shifts its focus from simply helping consumers try an EV, to directly supporting them through the purchase and ownership journey. The recent launch of EV Navigator is Motor’s answer to this, and directly assists consumers in navigating EV ownership. The hands-on service sets EV owners up for success, helping them with everything from installing their at-home charger, to leveraging utility, state and federal EV incentives.
Bryan Birsic’s appointment as CEO marks an exciting new era for Motor, as the company continues to accelerate EV adoption alongside its utility partners and empower consumers to become confident, lifelong EV drivers.
